On February 4, 2021 Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA) introduced H.R. 845, the VA Billing Accountability Act. The bill would authorize the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to waive veterans’ co-payment requirements for medications, hospital, outpatient or nursing care when the VA has committed a billing error that delayed co-payment notification to the veteran for more than 180 days (18 months for a non-VA facility) after the date on which the veteran received the care.

VFW POST 12074 Has adopted Scout Troop 731. This adoption will assist in forging a close-knit cooperation between our organizations. In fact, our partnership with the Boy Scouts of America dates back to 1915 when VFW Post 2100 helped to establish Troop 1 in Everett, Washington.

As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group. Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service while currently on Active Duty or any Veteran who has deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, The Gulf War, Vietnam, Korea, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns or one of the many Operations where hazardous duty pay, or a campaign medal was awarded. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.
