Roy Mark was Post 12074’s Quartermaster for three terms; 2020-21 through 2022-23. He served as Post Service Officer for part of the 2022-23 term. He is currently the Post’s Junior Vice Commander, District Five Quartermaster, and Cootie Pup Tent Six "Tight Wad,” i.e., Trustee.

The M50 Ontos (Greek for "Thing”) was the weapon of 1st Anti-Tank Battalion. Mounted on the Ontos were six 106 mm recoilless rifles that could be fired in rapid succession or as a salvo against single targets to guarantee a kill.
 

Marine Communications Detachment
USS Mt. McKinley (AGC-7)

USS Mount McKinley (AGC-7) was the lead ship of the Mount McKinley class of amphibious force command ships. She was named after the highest mountain in North America. She was designed as an amphibious force flagship, a floating command post with advanced communications equipment, and extensive combat information spaces to be used by the amphibious forces commander and landing force commander during large-scale operations. The Marine Communications Detachment’s mission was to provide communications between the Commanding General on board the flagship and his commanders on the beach.

Roy Mark is retired from a career in the Oil and Gas Industry. He worked in Alaska and the Bering Sea, Norway and the North Sea, the Java and Bali Seas, and the Gulf of Mexico. His duties varied, but included drilling mud supervision, rig-site supervision, and blowout prevention training. He retired from Atlantic Richfield Indonesia, Inc. in 1994. He has lived in Southeast Asia since 1988 and in Chiang Mai since 2001.
